  ABOUT SCHWIEN
Schwien Engineering, Inc,. the industry leader for more than 35 years, was founded in 1958, specifically to meet the specialized needs for precise pressure control and measurement in the avionics industry. In this age of rapid obsolescence, SCHWIEN MANOMETERS are unique. The majority of Schwien manometers built by Schwien Engineering, since the late L. Nevin Schwien introduced the original design in Pomona, California, are still in service. Their performance record is testimony to their superior quality and capability, and to Schwien Engineering’s on-going long-term service and support program. Like all of the MERCO-MASTERTM manometers placed in service worldwide, the SUPER SCHWIEN MANOMETER will provide years of precise and efficient service.

  COST EFFECTIVE
Superior accuracy, repeatability, versatility, and dynamic range make the SUPER SCHWIEN MANOMETERS very cost effective for operations with critical requirements for precise pressure calibrations.

For R&D departments, the SUPER SCHWIEN MANOMETERS precision means new products get to the market faster. For production lines and Calibration Labs, it provides a high level of confidence and minimizes product and equipment recall.

Cost-of ownership savings are realized with the SUPER SCHWIEN manometer. Annual calibration and maintenance cost, and down-time caused by mechanical failure are greatly reduced. Accuracy verification and mechanical linearisation of the Leadscrew Elevation System are completely eliminated.

  AUTOMATED DATA ACQUISITION
Manometer remote control operation is provided for by way of the IEEE-488 General Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB), and an optional instrument controller and calibration software. The calibration software is a complete turnkey package featuring support for Automatic Test Equipment with IEEE-488 or EIA-232 I/O ports. Software tools are included for easy in house software development.

  AUTOMATIC PRESSURE GENERATION AND MEASUREMENT
Automatic pressure generation is an outstanding feature of the SUPER SCHWIEN MANOMETER. The pressure controller system achieves pressure null within seconds of setting a position. Another feature is the new automatic measure mode, allowing unknown pressures to be measured automatically.

  CUSTOM INSTALLATION
Plumbing Installation Kit
The plumbing kit provides a simple, turnkey-installation solution based on the customers desired installation layout. Detailed drawings are generated to conform to the installations requirements. After the drawings are reviewed and approved, plumbing hardware is designed, built and installed in a mock-up at Schwien Engineering. After testing and final approval, the plumbing is dismantled and shipped to the installation site.

Custom installation and set-up of the manometer system is offered by Chell, who have over 25yrs experience with the manometer.

Schwien Manometer Training Class
A four-day class is held annually at Schwien Engineering, that covers manometer principles, manometer operation and testing, system maintenance, and system calibration and verification.

1025LX MANOMETER SPECIFICATIONS
Range One of three possible: 60, 100, 110 inches of mercury. All function in absolute or differential mode
Overall Error ±0.00028 in Hg ± 0.0015% of reading
Reference Pressure Not to exceed 100 in HgA
Slew Rate Moving Cistern: 0.02 to 50 inches per minute up or down Pressure: Rate of change of controlled pressure is dependent upon volume connected externally to the manometer
Response Time (High Accuracy Nulling) From 100 in HgA to 0.5 in HgA = Less than 60 seconds (normally less than 15 seconds)
From 0.3 in HgA to 0.5 in HgA = Less than 90 seconds
Pressure Controller Range 0.3 in HgA to full range differential. 0.05 in HgA with Low Pressure Option
Pressure Controller Accuracy In the completely Automatic mode, null offsets (without manual adjustment) may be as much as 0.0003 in Hg. There is a null offset adjustment on the Front Control Panel which reduces the null offset for a given pressure to zero. When this manual adjustment is used, the entire System (including Pressure Controller) is then accurate within the tolerance stated.
Automatic Temperature & Gravity Correction ± 0.0007% of reading when cabinet temperature gradients are maintained below 0.15°F
Manometer Cabinet Temperature A blower system reduces cabinet temperature gradients to 0.15°F. (see Environment)
Environment The above specifications are valid when ambient temperature is in the range of 65°F to 85°F with a 3°F/ hour maximum rate of change. The Manometer must be installed on a stable floor to minimize level changes and vibration.
