Flow Rate – Gas

Covering a wide range of flowmeter types including Transfer and Primary Standards:

  • Mass Flow Meters

Calibrations are made between 1sccm (Standard cm3/min) and 3600 slpm (Std. Litre/min) with uncertainties from 0.28% at 2 l/min to 0.73%Rdg.+1.35 l/min at 3600 l/min

Vacuum

All types of vacuum gauges and controllers are calibrated:

  • Capacitance manometers
  • Pirani & thermocouple gauges
  • Cold Cathode & inverted magnetron Ion gauges
  • Vacuum transducers & transmitters
  • Vacuum gauges and switches
  • Spinning rotor gauges

 

Calibrations range from 1.3 x 10-4 Pa to 133 kPa with uncertainties from 6% +4 x 10-5 Pa at 1.3 x 10-4 Pa to 0.2% + 3Pa at 13.3Pa.
Gas Pressure (absolute)

This service covers all types of vacuum and pressure measuring devices, as Vacuum, above, plus:

  • Resonant and quartz bourdon type transducers
  • Vibrating element transducers
  • Precision pressure generators & transfer standards
  • Air Data and Pitot Static Test Sets
  • Pressure Scanners – inc. high density
  • High accuracy capacitance manometers
  • Precision aneroid barometers
  • Standard test gauges
  • Digital pressure indicators & calibrators

 

Calibrations range from 1.3 x 10-4 Pa to 7 MPa with uncertainties from 6% +4 x 10-5 Pa at 1.3 x 10-4 Pa to 0.0020% + 0.25Pa at 350 kPa.
Gas Pressure (Gauge)

All types of both atmosphere and negative pressure referenced devices are calibrated:

  • Pressure transducers / transmitters
  • Micro-manometers
  • Inclined manometers
  • Capacitance manometers
  • Differential pressure switches


Calibrations range from –100kPa to 7MPa with uncertainties from 0.15% + 0.04 Pa at 133 Pa to 0.0020% + 0.21Pa at 350 kPa.

Gas Pressure (Differential)

This service is especially tailored to the calibration of aircraft pressure instruments to BS2G199 at line pressures up to 206 kPa:

  • Air Data and Pitot Static Test Sets
  • Airspeed Indicators
  • Altimeters
  • Rate of Climb (Vertical Speed) Meters
On Site Calibration

Chell has now achieved BS/EN/ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for on site work. We can arrange to travel to your site and carry out a quick and efficient calibration of your instrumentation with minimal disruption.

  • On site calibration of mass flow controllers, meters, rotameters and provers.
  • Ideal if instruments cannot be easily removed from your process for calibration.
  • Minimal down time.
  • UKAS accredited.
  • Low uncertainties.
  • Can accommodate instruments with ranges from 10 cc/min to 3600 l/min (air equivalent).
Electrical Calibration

Our newly acquired DC Voltage & Current capability allows us to calibrate electrical instrumentation such as process calibrators as well as electrical simulation of temperature probes for the calibration of temperature indicating devices. We can also perform reference junction compensation accuracy verification for thermocouple measuring devices.
