Description

PFTS Series Portable Flow Transfer Standards provide an easy to operate, cost
effective means of calibrating process flow meters and controllers. Available in fullscale
ranges from 5 standardcm3/min (sccm) to 10,000 standard litres/min (slpm),
nitrogen equivalent, the mass flow measurement is unaffected by line pressure or gas
temperature. They can be supplied calibrated for nitrogen, with gas correction factors
for other gases, or directly calibrated for the gas of your choice. A dedicated power
supply/display is programmed to correct repeatable non-linearity, typically improving
uncertainty by a factor of 5, and the whole system is covered by a UKAS (ISO17025)
calibration certificate.

Operation

The PFTS can be conveniently carried to the device under test DUT) in its case. The flow transfer standard should be connected in series with the DUT and its power supply/display connected to a suitable mains supply (mains cable and 3m interconnecting cable supplied). They should then be left to warm up and stabilise for 30 minutes, prior to isolating the gas supply and zeroing them. The flow transfer standard can then be compared against the DUT at various points through its range

FMS1000-3C

Portable Flow Measurement System

The FMS1000-3C is a three channel gas flow measurement system which is used as a transfer standard for field testing and accuracy verification of various makes of LRMs and LLRTs. The operator commands the gas flow rate delivered, which controls and accurately measures the flow rate, simulating various leakage rates. Three separate flow channels, with ranges of 50sccm, 1, and 20.0 slpm of Air full scale (other ranges available) offer errors of better than 0.5% of range. As well as field verification and calibration, this is valuable tool for training new LLRT and LRM operators before going on site.
